Already at the age of five the artist received the first piano and recorder lessons.
At the age of twelve she began to play the flute and with 17 she won the first price of the national competition
Jugend musiziert".

She  started her studies with Professor Renate Greiss Amin at the Academy of Music in Karlsruhe, where she
received her degree in “Orchestermusik”. Later on she became a member of the master class of Maxence Larrieu
at the “Conservatoire de musique” in Geneva, where she finished in 1986 with the concert degree.

A deep influence on her play had the Irish flutist James Galway from whom she received  private lessons for a long time,
as well as the French flutist Alain Marion.

Her international career began in 1986 on an invitation of the Goethe Institute in Indonesia when she went on tour
there with the pianist Surjani Bahari. Her broad repertoire in the last years took her as a soloist to  the US, to Poland, Finland, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Austria and Switzerland, among others with the Brazilian pianist Vania Pimentel, the Polish pianist Marek Mizera and the harpist Anna Faber.

In 2004 she played the opening concert of the “Deutsches Kulturjahr” (The German Cultural Year) with a program
on the German Romantic Period in Kaliningrad Russia). 

For several years she was in the broadcast orchestra of the WDR (West German Broadcasting Corporation)  in
Cologne and released radio recordings for the WDR (West German Broadcasting Corporation), the “SWR”
(the Southwest Broadcasting Corporation) and the “SDR” (the Southern German Broadcasting Corporation) in
Mainz, Stuttgart and Cologne as well as for the Polish broadcasting corporations in Warsaw and Opole (Poland).

For a long time apart from the concerts as a soloist she worked as a studio musician in Munich where she among
others published CDs with Werner Tauber.

The artist played with different classical orchestras but also gave a number of concerts with the Phantasmagoria Jazz Quartet, with whom she published the CD “Crying with Laughter” in Great Britain.

She is living in Frankfurt / Germany at present, where in 2001 she founded the chamber music association “Die Blaue Blume e.V.” with the support of the local authorities of the city of Frankfurt, the “Land Hessen” and the Sparda Bank Hessen eG.
